For the safety of our community as we continue to battle COVID-19, we’re holding three virtual services in partnership with St. Gabriel’s. These services will emphasize the importance of home reflection with a concentration on the words repent, renew, reflect, and return.

7am: Service at St. Stephen’s
Led by Father Mike, featuring remarks by Father Peter
We begin Ash Wednesday with a tribute to essential workers, especially our Jefferson neighbors. This service will also focus on reflecting from your own safe space, whether at home or at work, and welcoming Lent in a new light of renewal and growth.
12pm: Service at St. Gabriel's
Led by Father Mike
This noon service will be more traditional and will focus on the meaning of Lent. The service will be held at our sister parish of St. Gabriel's in the Olney section of Philadelphia
8pm: Evening Compline
Led by Eleanor Macchia
We conclude our Ash Wednesday with a special compline piece about grief. It will incorporate Psalm 51 in a mix-media presentation offering opportunities for reflection.
